Mug Panini's "Interior of St. Peter's in Rome"
Mug featuring the Museum’s painting “Interior of St. Peter’s, Rome,” 1731, by Giovanni Paolo Panini (Italian, 1691-1765). Panini worked his entire life in Rome, providing foreign travelers keepsake images of the well-known sights of the papal city, including the beloved basilica of St. Peter’s. Through point-of-view and the use of light to focus attention, Panini captured the grandeur and size of the impressive church.
