King Louis IX of France, namesake of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, is depicted in this sculpture located atop Art Hill in front of the Saint Louis Art Museum. Designed by Charles Henry Niehaus in plaster for the 1904 World's Fair, this bronze version was presented to the city on October 4, 1906.

This reproduction was produced for the Saint Louis Art Museum in a resin. It comes in a gift box with a clear front to view the statue.
